Row of four cottages adjoining No 7 (q.v.) to east. Mid/late C18,
restored late C20 by Ernest Cook Trust, the owners. Coursed
rubble stone, slate roof to front, concrete tiles to rear, renewed
brick stacks. Single original range of 3 storeys with large C20
two-storey extension with projecting porches along whole of rear.
Throughway to far left with inserted paired 8-pane casement with
cambered voussoir head over. Otherwise first and second floors
have one similar window each, arranged on inner sides of cottages
as 2 pairs, with 6-panes under eaves. Ground floor originally had
similar below and door of 4 bolection panels on outer sides of
each, now removed and additional paired 8-pane casement inserted.
