Former farmhouse adjoining Yew Tree Cottage (q.v.). Late C17-
early C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Concrete tile
roof with ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan with later extensions
to the left gable end and at right angles rear right. Yew Tree
Cottage adjoins at the gable-end of the latter. Main body; 2
storeys and attic lit by a single 2-light roof dormers with C19
metal casements windows with leaded panes. Two-windowed facade.
Two 2-light metal casements with horizontal glazing bars and
painted timber lintels to the first floor. One 2 and one 3-light
double-chamfered hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement to the
ground floor, both with stopped hoods and horizontal glazing bars.
C20 door with fillets off-centre right with a concrete lintel and
keystone. Similar doorway set within a flat-chamfered basket-
headed surround to the left opening into a baffle entry. Two-
light flat-chamfered stone mullioned casement to the left. 1 1/2
storey extension to left with a stone-mullioned casement to the
rear with a 2-light dormer above. Two-light stone-mullioned
casement at the rear of the main body. l½ storey late C17
extension at right angles to the main body with a 6-light flat-
chamfered stone-mullioned casement with a central king mullion in
the east facing wall. Small single light to the ground floor of
the right-hand return. Two 2-light half dormers to the first
floor. Original gable-end stacks with moulded cappings to the
main body. Interior not inspected.
