Traction engine shed, mid-C19. Whinstone rubble with tooled-and-margined
sandstone quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof. Rectangular building
fronting onto road, at east end of range with cartsheds and granary. Front
shows 2 tall segment-headed arches holding boarded doors. Pyramidal roof,
formerly with central louvre/vent. Returns each show stepped buttress to
front wall and part-slatted window with external bars; lower 2-bay part to
right of right return with similar windows. Boarded door to rear.
Interior: 2 queen-post roof trusses.
Altered 2-storey part of range to west is not of special interest.
