GV II

School, now Village Hall. 1857. Squared rubble with cut quoins and dressings;
Welsh slate roof. L-plan, 3-bay street front. Squared-headed one- and two-
light windows, except for 3 stepped lancets under panel with Percy crescent in
taller gabled right end bay; between left bays stepped chimney breast with
truncated stack. Pent porch at left end has studded door with fleur-de-lys
hinges under 4-centred arch. Coped gables on moulded kneelers. Right return
shows two- and three-light windows and another stepped chimney breast;
truncated bell-cote at right end; attached flat-coped wall to right with
decorative wrought-iron gate in 4-centred arch. All windows are 8-pane sashes,
in recessed and chamfered surrounds.

C20 flat-roofed part set back to left of street front is not of special
interest.
