Cottage and coach house with stable, adjoining small earlier wing
probably forming part of original stabling accommodation for
Somerford Keynes House (q.v.). Earliest part probably mid C19,
remainder may be late C19 or possibly 1920s. Coursed rubble stone
with flush quoins and dressings, slate roof to south ride of single
storey section, tile roof to remainder with stone nape stack with
offset and moulded cornice to cottage and to hipped south-west end
of stable. 'U'-shaped range. Single storey section has 3 paired
pointed Gothic leaded lights and 2 recessed half-glazed C20 doors.
Kings Cottage has paired 8-pane casements, straight-headed to first
floor, cambered-headed to ground floor. Three segmental coach
arches to east range with 2 hipped dormers on swept down roof. Two
segmental arches to south range with central cambered-head 3-light
casement and flanking cambered head stable doors raised up to left
with higher ground level, 2 hipped dormers. Mounting block
adjoining right-hand stable door. All arches have C20 doors
fitted.
