Detached farmhouse. C17, much repaired late C19. Original rubble-stone
walls, rendered, and coursed dressed stone walls. Clay-tile roofs with
stone gable-copings. Brick stacks at gable-ends. Two storeys. 3 windows,
3-light stone mullions with labels over; 2-light mullions to first floor.
Wood casements with glazing-bars. Front door at centre, with stone jambs,
panelled with 4 top lights, C19. Porch has octagonal stone columns and a
flat entablature, C19. Two rear ranges, with small yard between. West
range has 2-light casement and loft door over. East range has 3-light
stone mullions. Both ranges have 3-light stone mullions on their gable
ends. Pentice-roofed outshut on east gable wall. Substantial U-plan
farmhouse. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 260(30)).
