Former stables to Manor House (qv). Thought to date from 1770s; but early C18 in style
Coursed rubble, low-pitched slate roof with coped verges, 4 ridge stacks and a
large central wooden octagonal cupola with weathervane. Symmetrical 2 storey
elevation. 1:3:1:3:1 bays. Central and outer large arched doorways with kevs
and imposts above which are keyed bullseyes. Small 2 light mullion windows to
1st floor, large cross mullion windows on ground floor, all windows hollow
chamfer mouldings. Ground floor windows flank lower square-headed (stable)
doorways in raised and keyed surrounds. Leaded lights, panelled outer doors, the
right hand one glazed; central door partially blocked and now contains a glazed
door with 7 light pointed fanlight containing perpendicular tracery to rear: 2 and
3 light mullioned windows: central doorway with keystone and transom light.
