Norham Station

Coal cell and former lime store, now used exclusively as coal depot. c.1849 for
the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway. Snecked stone with Welsh slate roof.

To right, the lime store, an open shed with side walls only and a pyramidal
roof. The lime was stored in the pit beneath.

To left the coal cell, a pit flanked by solid walls. The railway tracks
formerly went over it supported on girders.
