Milestone. Probably late C18. Small granite monolith about 2' 6" high.
Rectangular on plan with rounded head. Carved into front letter L (for
Launceston)in upper case sanserif, and below number 2 with serifs.
Roads leading to Launceston were built under the Turnpike Act of 1760.
