Road bridge over the River Test (at the lowest crossing of Tidal water). 1793.
Portland stone. Large segmental arch, set against abutments, with circular
passageways in the lower part of the spandrels. Parapet, with weathered coping
and lower projecting band, the centre part (on each face) being projected slightly
above a small keystone, containing a moulded panel with the inscription "BUILT BY
THE COUNTY MDCCXCIII". Ancient Monument.
