Description

SO 54 NE PRESTON WYNNE CP PRESTON WYNNE

5/73 The White House

-

GV II

Farmhouse. Probably C17 origins, but completely remodelled in early C19.
Timber-frame in gable ends and to catslide rear extension, otherwise
painted brick with slate roof, hipped to left. Two storeys, four windows,
irregularly spaced glazing bar sashes under segmental heads; arched door-
way below second window from left, simple fanlight and glazed door; end
chimneys. The timber framing in the west gable is three plus one panels
high and suggests that the original part of the house is now partly
incorporated in the lean-to rear outshut.
