Farmhouse, now two tenements. Probably late C17 to early C18, with later
alterations. Coursed sandstone rubble, timber-framed, mostly rendered,
slate roofs and external stone local type stack with rendered shaft to
west. L-plan, two bays to each arm, joined towards north-west, one arm
aligned roughly east/west and the other north/south. Two storeys to
east/west range and one storey and attic to the other arm. West elevation
is dominated by the lateral stack to the right of which is a 3-light late
C19 casement to the ground storey and a similar window but with two lights
above to the first storey; to the right is exposed timber-framing with
brick nogging and rubble walling with a 3-light steel mid-C20 window to
the ground floor, above is a dormer set in weatherboards containing a broad
3-light late C20 casement. Entrance in rendered north side of east/west
range: late C19 to early C20 casements; east gable is exposed rubble with
rubble end stack; the south side of the same range retains a row of
timber-framed brick-filled panels beneath the eaves.
