Strict Baptist chapel. 'Salem 1857' inscribed on plaque in pediment. Gault brick,
slate roof. Front pedimented facade of 4 bays divided by giant pilasters with scroll
brackets at cornice. Boarded eaves. Two round-headed archways to open vestibule with
2 similar arches to main entrances each with 2 panelled doors and round-headed
fanlights. Windows with margin lights in round-headed stone arches at first floor in
each bay and flanking the vestibule. Interior has a gallery on 3 sides with open
ironwork front, original box pews at ground floor and open pews in gallery. Built for
David Irish formerly the minister at Warboys.
