Two houses. Probably late C15 with early C19 and some late C20 alterations.
Timber-frame clad in brick with tile roof, large stack to front wall at right;
two storeys, dentilled brick cornice to no 3, exposed wall-plate to no 4;
four windows: two 3-light C20 casements to left, two 2-light C20 casements
to right; ground floor: three windows: 3-light casement to centre, other two
of two lights, all C20; each has two entrances, no 3: to left-hand corner
has a wooden architrave and C20 ledged and boarded door; to left of central
window: wooden architrave under timber lintel, 6-panel C20 door; no 4: entrance
to right of central window has wooden architrave, blind soldier course to head,
C20 ledged and boarded door with strap hinges; entrance to right-hand corner
has a wooden architrave and C20 ledged and boarded door. Framing: exposed
truss in south gable has two struts to collar and clasped purlins. On the
ground floor there are the remnants of the framing of the demolished no 2.
