House, now two shops and offices. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 and some late C20
alterations. Brick with hipped tile roof. Four storeys, dentilled brick
cornice; three windows: two 16-pane sashes flank a glazing bar sash (lower
half of sashes now plate glass) under rubbed brick heads; second floor: as
first floor, but with all the glazing bars; third floor: 2-light casement to
left, 9-pane sash to centre, blind sash to right, all under rubbed brick
heads, ground floor: shop fronts pilastered with blind box across whole
facade, central recessed entrance to Baldwin Chambers approached by two
steps, angled entrances to shop, all with half-glazed doors. Interior:
open well staircase with moulded hand rail and stick balusters.
