House, now public house. Late Cl7/early C18 with earlier C17 origins. Render
over timber frame; gabled old plain tile roof, with C20 concrete tiles to rear;
brick ridge stacks. 3-unit lobby-entry plan 2 storeys; 4-window range. Canted
tile hood over C20 door. Segmental and flat arches over late C19/20 casements
with horizontal glazing bars. Rear outshut of c.1974 attached to mid C20 flat-
roofed extension. Interior: room to left has C17 chamfered beam and wood
bressummer over open fireplace; stop-chamfered beams; roof noted as having
original side-purlin trusses. Shown on 1722-39 map; used as an inn since 1785.
