Chapel in garden approx. 50 metres west of Bowcliffe Hall

Chapel. Possibly C15, associated with Nostell Priory; or (more probably) C19,
incorporating some fabric from cell of Nostell Priory; restored. Coursed squared
magnesian limestone, stone slate roof. Very small rectangular single cell,
approx. 5 x 3 metres. South side has a doorway with hollow-chamfered surround,
4-centred arched head, restored hoodmould, and double doors with traceried
panels, and to the right of this a Perpendicular window of 3 cusped lights
with hollow-chamfered mullions, and a hoodmould. East gable has a similar
5-light window with restored hoodmould; west gable has a square-headed window
of 4 cusped lights with hollow-chamfered mullions, and restored hoodmould.
Interior: coffered wooden ceiling with moulded beams and joists, probably C19.
