GV II

Pair of raised grave slabs. c1723 and 1724. Ashlar. Memorial to "George
Wildsmith later Founder at the Banke Furnace in the Parish of Thornhill",
died 28th July 1724 aged 27. Memorial to "George Stringer senir. Late of
Woolley Edge yeomn.", died 11th January 1723 aged 64. Both have channelled
borders with finely-carved semicircular-arched heads. That to left has
winged-head spandrels and carved heart motif.
