3/10 The Pelican Public House
II
Building, once terrace of 3 cottages, now inn and restaurant. Mid-
late C18. Red and vitrified blue brick and tiled roof. Two-
storey, 8 window bays, doors in 2nd and 6th bays and blocked door
in 4th. Half-glazed doors, the 6th bay with segmental rendered
doorcase, and both with soffite-panelled canopies. Twelve-pane
sashes in red brick quoined openings and gauged brick arches and
with simple brick aprons. Canted and sashed bay in 4th bay and
tripartite window on ground floor in 5th and 6th bays replacing
original. Dentilled eaves and 3 tall brick chimneys. Rear
extension to 5th bay. Outbuildings not of special interest.
