Well-house. Dated 1743 for Wm. Darnell and Thomas Rippon in inscription over
door. Coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and quoins; concrete
roof. Octagonal, about 2 metres high. Blocked door in south-east face has
stone jambs under moulded lintel, with names inscribed in centre flanked by
Roman date. Flat stone coping; inserted flat concrete roof.
