5/175 Lewis monument, in churchyard, about
15m south of east end of chancel,
Church of St. John the Baptist

Pedestal tomb; John Lewis, 1845; stone. Wide moulded projection
to lid: above a stop, set back, with roll, and torus moulding
rising to central cap: moulded edge with gadrooned top edge, above
a square cyma dome covered with leaves. Vertical leaf frieze,
reeded frame to sides with square corner paterae. Moulded base.
Well-cut lettering, 'Sacred' in Gothic script, scrolls below, some
italic letters. Lettering shows signs of painting.
