Park Langley 'Chinese' Garage and flanking lanterns

Petrol filling station, 1928 by Edmund B. Clarke. Timber frame with tiled bell-cast roof in oriental style. Rectangular single-storey office with projecting canopy over modern petrol pumps, this with double-pitch roof, and all with deep eaves cornices rising to pagoda-like cupola. The walls with black and white painted framing and leaded lights, late C20 door.
The garage has its own garden with low shrubs and a pool, surrounded by a low wall. On this are mounted two tall lanterns with bell-cast tops, and five small lanterns with domed tops.
Included as a remarkable survivor from the early days of popular motoring.
