Terraced houses. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, roof of
Welsh slate except no 51 which is of asbestos slate, and nos
49 and 53 which are obscured by parapet. Two storeys over
basement with dormers in mansard roof to nos 41-7 and 51, two
windows each. Heads of gauged brick to all openings. Steps up
to round-arched entrance with cabled and fluted pilasters,
cornice, blocked fanlight and panelled door of original
design; ground-floor window round-arched with sashes of
original design having margin lights, first-floor window
flat-arched; parapet, largely rebuilt; flat-arched dormers;
stacks to party walls. Features of individual houses are: no
45 has sashes of original design to the first floor; no 53 has
an open fanlight and sashes of original design to the first
floor. Cast-iron railings to steps and area, those to no 43
largely missing, and some finials replaced or missing.
