Country house, now flats. Probably early C18, remodelled in 1791 by John
Sanders for Thomas Holmes, with some late C20 alterations. Stuccoed brick
with hipped slate roofs. Basically H-plan, the east cross-wing being an
addition by Sanders. East front: two storeys with moulded cornice to parapet,
the centre of which bears a garlanded urn; slightly raised quoins and a band
to ground floor; three windows: glazing bar sashes, that to centre in a semi-
circular recede; ground floor: two windows with tripartite sashes under
segmentally-headed recesses with Pompeian relief medallions; the entrance has
a porch with four Doric columns supporting a balustraded balcony. Right-hand
return front has two alcoves containing Classical urns on ground floor.
