House, circa 1700 with alterations. Very lightly tooled, unevenly-coursed sand-
stone, the lower coursed thicker; basement rendered. Renewed pantiled roof with
stone kneelers and ridge stack. Gable end to road 3 storeys and basement, 2
bays. Modern basement window, 12-pane sash on ground floor, very small 4-pane
sash in chamfered opening on first floor and two 6-pane sashes in lengthened
older openings, on second floor. Stack at gable peak. Entrance front is left
return. Left 6-panel door in doorcase of reeded pilasters and open-pedimented
hood; shaped stone lintel with initials E and AS. Right wide 28-pane fixed
light with small off-centre opening section. First floor right casement set in
old chamfered opening, left 16-pane sash; 12-pane sash above. Traces of
earlier, shorter openings.
