House. 1748 on kneeler with later extension and C20 alteration. Coursed
sandstone rubble with roughly tooled quoins; pantile roof and rebuilt brick
stacks. Originally 2-cell, direct-entry plan with later extension. 2-
storey, 3-window front with single-storey lean-to extension to right.
Original doorway to left of centre now blocked; present entrance to rear of
extension. 2-light, 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes to front. Painted
flat arches to all openings. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End stacks
to steeply-pitched roof. Interior: closed-string straight staircase with
turned balusters and square section newel; re-used moulded handrail of
earlier date. Partition of fielded panelling with quarter round moulding
between ground-floor rooms. Door to ground-floor room to right has an H-L
hinge. In the attic is a single truss incorporating re-used cruck blades.
