House. C17 or earlier, refurbished in early C19, kitchen rebuilt
in C20 after a fire. Timber frame on plastered brick sill,
roughcast with steep pitched tiled roofs. A 2-storeys and
cellars L-shaped house facing W with N crosswing, stair tower in
rear angle, and gabled roughcast kitchen projecting E in middle
of E wall. Large central chimney at junction of wings with 5
octagonal chimney shafts with moulded bases and caps (now
roughcast). 4 windows W front with projecting gabled crosswing
on left and 2-storeys canted bay window with French windows on
ground floor. Sash window on 1st floor with small gable over.
3- and 2-light casement windows. Entrance now in N side of
crosswing with boarded door, rectangular fanlight and flush box
sash windows.
