Stable buildings. Dated 1788. Coursed squared stone, ashlar and yellow
brick dressings, pantile and asbestos sheet roofs. Square of buildings
around central courtyard. Main north front: 9 bays, 1:3:1:3:1, outer and
central bays of 2 storeys, others of one storey. Ashlar quoins to outer and
central bays, which break forward slightly . Central round-headed carriage
arch with yellow brick arch and ashlar impost bands and keystone, which is
inscribed 'EB 1788'. Outer bays have board doors and fanlights below round
brick arches with keystones. Other bays have small rectangular ventilation
openings with stone sills,below eaves. First floor: central bay has blind
brick Diocletian window; left-hand bay has 6-pane sash, right-hand bay has
6-pane casement, both with stone sills and lintels. Roofs hipped, that to
central bay pyramidal with dovecote cupola.
