1907 by M H Baillie-Scott. Open-plan arrangement based on the medieval,
vernacular hall-house. Two storeys with carefully balanced asymmetrical
design to the north front with central bay flanked by 2 different sized
gables sweeping down nearly to the ground. Hipped and gabled tile roof with
brick stacks. Roughcast walls; centre bay with exposed studwork. Irregular,
mullioned casement windows with leaded lights. Recessed doorway with 4-centred
arched head. Internally the studio and sitting room form a single space,
of which the fireplace and bay are defined by exposed principal beams connected
to the columns by curved braces.
