Stone walling. Probably C18 or early C19. Large slabs of local, probably
Keinton, stone set upright with unmortared joints: an unfrequent
survival of a local "stone plank wall". Important both historically and
as visual element on an important corner.(Clifton Taylor, The Pattern of
English Building, 1972).
