Shown as Witch Lodge on OS map. Pair of cottages, now single dwelling. Circa 1830. Rendered over rubble, hipped slate
roof, overhanging eaves, soffit board, central brick stack. Plan; irregular octagon, originally pair of one-up one-down
cottages, now single dwelling, Two storeys, 2 bays, Tudor arch head windows, moulded stone architraves, no glazing
bars; single storey hipped roof porches on returns, pointed arch openings, fanlight with radiating bars right entrance,
left blocted, plank doors; on returns first floor two 2-light windows are blind. An attractive pair of cottages built
for foresters on the ?ortman estate.
