GV II

Stable block. Late C17 with mid C18 extensions and alterations. Timber framed to
centre, brick to ends and rear, colourwashed roughcast cladding on front, red and
blue brick exposed on rear. Plain tiled roofs, hipped to centre. Central wooden
square cupola under ribbed dome with weathervane finial. Arched openings on each
side and large clockface on east side of plinth which cuts into the roof pitch. 2
storeys with brick dentils to eaves and around the end gable pediments of flanking
wings. Block rustication to arched entrances in gable ends with impost blocks and
voussoirs to the arches. 2 painted, false,windows on the centre of the first floor,
2 casement windows to ground floor. Hayloft door to centre of first floor, plank
door to ground floor centre. Clock workings survive inside.
