House and attached cottage. Late C17/early C18, extended early C19 and
altered C20.
Coursed ironstone rubble, pantile roof, brick ridge and end stacks. L-
plan. 2 storeys. Main range facing Church Lane has part-glazed door to
left of projecting cross wing to right, with wood lintel. 3-lintel window
to ground floor left with central sliding light and segmental-arched brick
head. C20 window to ground floor far left with wood lintel. Full-height
cross wing to right projecting towards Church Lane has C20 window to 1st
floor of gable end with wood lintel. Quoins and stone-coped gable to rear
of cross wing. 2-storey, 1-window extension projecting to left (Blacksmiths
Cottage) is of coursed ironstone rubble to ground floor, brick to 1st floor
and has pantile roof and brick end stack. Blocked door to front, 3-light
window to ground floor with segmental-arched brick head and central sliding
light and 2-light casement to 1st floor with wood lintel. Interior noted as
having open fireplace with chamfered bressummer.
