C16 round tower of uncertain purpose with battlemented parapet renewed in modern
times. Red brick. Corbel table of pointed brick arches below parapet. Below
this 4 centred arcading all around. Another corbel table, with corbels of single
carved bricks, runs around the arcade panels just over halfway up. Panels rest
on plinth. On north side basement entrance under 4 centred arch, and on south
side basement is arcaded. 1 quatrefoil window, probably later; and a C19 window
with Y-tracery. 5 stone steps to modern door at north west.
