Large Elizabethan house, built about 1549 by Richard Lutwyche, in the
shape of a letter 'E' and approached by a terraced garden forecourt.
In the right-hand corner between the stone gabled wings is a slender tower;
tall chimneys of twisted brickwork; library and dining room added early
C18. Inside are beautiful ceilings, oak panelling and a massive staircase.
At the back is an old bowling green.
