Commercial premises. c.1830, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond; Welsh slate
roof. 3 storeys, 2 bays. Late C19-early C20 shop front with metal grille over
windows which have C20 glazing; central door of 2 fielded panels, upper panel
now glazed; panelled pilaster on left; on right window curves round corner;
twisted and scrolled iron brackets support cornice above which is balcony with
railings of latticed ironwork and bands of circles to top and bottom. 1st
floor: 2 tall, unequally-hung, 15-pane sashes with flat brick arches set at
floor level to give access onto balcony. 2nd floor: unequally-hung, 12-pane
sashes with projecting sills and cambered brick arches. Oversailing roof.
Stack at left end shared with no 43 (q.v.) now part of the same property but
described with nos 25-43 (odd, q.v.). Right return: on left at 1st floor stone
brackets, probably formerly supporting ledge to former loading door.
