House, formerly farmhouse. Early/mid C17. Coursed limestone rubble, ironstone
dressings. Old and C20 plain-tile roof, brick end stack. L-plan. 2 storeys and
attic: 2-window front range. Central false door flanked by stone buttresses
disguised as gabled porch. 4-light wave-moulded stone mullion windows to ground
and first floors, those to ground floor with hood moulds. Wave-moulded plinth,
ironstone quoins, stone-coped gables with kneelers and one gabled roof dormer.
Wing to rear left has 2- and 3-light casement windows with wood lintels and C20
glazed door with chamfered stone surround. Interior has moulded
bar-stop-chamfered spine beams to ground floor and bar-stop-chamfered spine
beams to first floor. Open fireplace with bar-stop-chamfered bressumer, C19
marble chimneypiece. Another fireplace with boxed bressumer. 2 stone corner
fireplaces to first floor rooms of main range, both with moulded Tudor-arched
heads and C19 grates. Old 2-panel doors with HL hinges.
