Gatepiers to Arden Hall (qv). Early C18. Sandstone ashlar. Approximately
one metre square and 4 metres in height. Pulvinated frieze and moulded
cornice. The owls which surmount them are the Savile emblem and therefore
probably post date 1900 when the family bought the house. These gatepiers
no longer support the gate (qv) which is approximately 2 metres to their
south between C19 gatepiers.
