Tithe barn, now public hall. Probably mid C15. Squared coursed and banded limestone and ironstone with thatch roof. Single-unit barn. Single storey, six bays. East elevation has five two-stage buttresses and one two-stage clasping buttress at the left hand corner. Cart entrances to bays two and five, now blocked and part-glazed, retain wood lintels over. Two pairs of triangular air holes to each bay. Ashlar gable parapet and kneelers with finial to north gable. North gable has three pairs of airholes and three slit openings in gable. South gable similar with C20 extension attached. West elevation has four buttresses with clasping buttresses at corners. Two cart entrances between buttresses, now blocked, retain wood lintel over. Two and three pairs of airholes between buttresses. Some roof timbers may remain but largely replaced mid C20. Now linked to barns immediately south of tithe barn (qv) by C20 extension.
Originally the tithe barn to Croyland Abbey (qv). Scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
