Terraced houses, now partly offices. c.1800. Yellow brick set
in Flemish bond, mansard roofs of Welsh and artificial
slate.Four storeys over basement, nos 2-5 three windows each,
nos 6-10 two windows each. Round-arched entrance with gauged
brick head, the doorcase set within a round-arched recess and
reeded except for no 3 which has fluted quarter-columns and
cornice; fanlight, with decorative glazing to nos. 2-7, 9-10,
panelled doors of original design. Ground-floor windows
round-arched and set within a recessed round-arched panel with
gauged brick head. Upper windows flat-arched with gauged brick
heads, and iron balconies to first floor on nos 2, 4, 8 and
10, some possibly replacements. Plaque on no 4 commemorating
Eduard Suess. Original rainwater heads between nos 3 and 4 and
nos 9 and 10; original downpipe between nos 3 and 4. 6/6
sashes of original design, with radiating glazing bars to
ground floor, to nos 3-4, 5 (second floor), 6 (second floor),
7, 8 (first and second floors), 9, and 10 (ground floor).
Parapet. Dormer windows to all houses. Stacks to party walls.
Cast-iron railings to area. Scrolled overthrow lampholder to
nos 6 and 7.
