Shops and offices, originally 2 shops with accommodation
above. Late C18 or early C19. Front of red brick, side
elevation of diaper brickwork. Roof concealed by parapet with
central cemented chimneystack. 3 storeys; 2 windows. 2nd floor
has 12-pane sashes with rubbed brick voussoirs. 1st floor has
2 canted bays, left one original, right one with altered
glazing. Ground floor has 2 early C19 shopfronts with deep
fascias and pilasters. End doorcases with round-headed arches
with fanlights, impost blocks and panelled doors. No 43 has
remains of an open fireplace, a late C18 marble chimneypiece
and reeded architraves to doors and windows.
