The Red Lion
II
Public house. Mid C19. Painted brick in Flemish bond; concrete
tiled roof. Ridge and end stacks. Double-depth plan.
Overhanging eaves on console brackets. Front, almost
symmetrical 3-window range; 1st floor with 16-pane hornless
sash windows flanking one of 12 panes under rubbed brick
window arches. Ground with 16-pane sashes to either side of
porch with pilasters and moulded cornice on simple supports, a
half-glazed door with overlight with decorative glazing bars.
Right-hand extension lower with one 3-light casement to 1st
floor only. Rear with various casement windows under segment
heads.
