1353-0/2/56 The Old Barn at Perreton Farm

GV II

Barn. North part late C17 or early C18, south part early C19.
North part of Isle of Wight stone rubble with ashlar end
quoins. Slate roof. Deep plinth and blocked triangular
ventilation slits. Central cart entrance blocked by breeze
blocks. South part is early C19, the front coursed stone
rubble, the rear and side brick in English bond to rear and
Sussex bond to side. Half-hipped slate roof. One fixed
casement to 1st floor, ground floor has cambered plank door
and Diocletian window. 5 bays. Roof of slightly angled queen
struts and 2 layers of through purlins.
