CALBOURNE

Church. Built in 1835 by A.F. Livesay on site of a Mediaeval
church which had become ruinous. Early English style. Built of
stone rubble with ashlar dressings. Tiled roof, gable ended.
West end has bellcote and triple lancet window, the central
one being taller and buttresses. Nave has 3 lancets, dogtooth
cornice buttresses with interrupted label moulding. Arched
south porch with tiled roof and identical north porch. East
window has 2 lancets with circular window above and drip
moulding with corbel heads. Internally 1 bay is divided off as
the chancel. 3 ribbed vaulted bays with floriated bosses.
Octagonal font. West window has corbel heads between lancets.
