Sheeplea House Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C18, with C20 alterations. Regularly coursed
gritstone and ashlar dressings, with quoins, coped gables with
plain kneelers, gable ashlar stacks, and a stone slated roof.
L-plan house. South elevation of 2 storeys and 3 bays, with
central doorway having a massive surround and lintel. 4-panel
door with the upper 2 panels glazed. Flanking the doorway are
stacked 2-light flush-mullioned windows, with C20 casement
frames without glazing bars. The ground-floor windows are
taller than those to the first floor. West gable has C18
doorway to north-west corner, with a glazed opening, and an
inserted 2-light window above. Gabled crosswing extends to
north, with massive door surround to opening at the junction
of the two ranges, one unaltered 2-light flush-mullioned
window to the first floor.
