Pair of houses, possibly originally one dwelling, and now in
use as offices. Early C19. Flemish-bond brickwork with
stone-flagged roof. 2 storeys, 5-window range, with single
window hipped roof pavilion wing to right (No.43A). Doorway
central to main block in enriched Tuscan doorcase. 2-pane
sashes flank the doorway, with tripartite sash window to upper
right and blind windows to left on each floor. Continuous sill
band to first floor, and flat-arched brick heads. No.43A
projects as wing to right. Wide tripartite window to first
floor, and tripartite window to ground floor in
segmentally-arched recess with plain string course. Plain
doorway inserted to left. Parapet to eaves above moulded stone
cornice.
