Cottage. Late C16 or early C17 lobby entrance house, refronted
and extended in early C19. Timber-framed building refronted in
red brick with blue headers. Tiled roof, half-hipped to right.
Tall off-central brick chimneystack and end right
chimneystack. Rear elevation has exposed framing onlst floor.
2 storeys, 4 windows. Leaded light casements. Modillion eaves
cornice. Brick stringcourse and part-brick, part-stone plinth.
Left side door (in front of large chimneystack) has cambered
architrave, reeded pilasters and 6 flush panels, the top 2
panels glazed. Right side doorcase has reeded pilasters,
wooden cornice and mid-C19 door with marginal glazing to upper
part. Right side elevation has attic casement with-old leaded
lights.
Interior has open fireplace, winder staircase, an C18
2-panelled door and 3-plank door to attic. End room has beam
with 2in chamfer, central room has 2 C18 axial beams and
right-hand one has early C19 fire surround. Attic has old
floorboards and staggered purlin roof with no ridgepiece.
