Holy well, Medieval core with decoration possibly of 1847 by Samuel Trist, Vicar.
Restored 1912. Slatestone rubble with granite dressings. Semi-circular on plan,
built in slope of land. Symmetrical east front with doorway to well set low. This
has chamfered granite jambs reused egg and dart type of decoration, impost blocks of
C12 or C13 and arch made up of C15 cusped fragments under a C13 style hoodmould. The
body of the well head has rocky abutments and a flat top supporting a tapered
octagonal granite shaft on a square chamfered base and capped by a trefoil roll gable
finial similar to that reused on a chest tomb in the churchyard. Interior has half
dome corbelled roof. Well is now dry.
