Farmhouse. C16 or C17 origins, remodelled in mid-to late C18 with later
additions and alterations. Roughly coursed slate-stone with granite quoins,
roughcast except to right return; hipped slate roof with deep boarded eaves.
2 storeys. 5-window front; left 3 on first floor C20, 2 to right C19 with
L-hinges, all multi-paned. Similar paired C20 casements to ground-floor left,
Cl9 casement with L-hinges to centre and C20 casement to right, latter 2 with
head and top of mullion of former 2-light mullion windows above. Multi-paned
early C20 bay window in fourth bay from left. Entrance in second bay from
left; hip-roofed porch with small window to front and 6-panel door to right
side. Inner segmental-headed chamfered granite doorway with 6-panel door
(upper panels glazed). 2 integral lateral stacks to back wall with slate-hung
hip-roofed staircase projection between. Cl9 twin-gabled range projecting
at right-angles to rear on right, right gable with integral end stack and
claom oven projection.
Interior: Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (November 1987) but
said to have exposed ceiling beams and likely to have other features of interest.
