Mid or late C18. Hammer-dressed stone. Pitched stone slate roof. Coped gables
on cut kneelers. Principal building (at south end) is 3 storey. Its main
front (to east) has 2 ranges of sashes with glazing bars marking a depressed
arched carriage entrance with keystone and impost blocks, a blocked window
on 1st floor and on 2nd floor a panelled loading door with impost blocks, keystones
and semi-circular fanlight with Gothick glazing bars. South elevation has
4 range of 3-light stone mullioned sashes.
Remaining offices are 2 storeys, and of L-shaped plan. One 2-light stone mullioned
window on 1st floor, one 3-light stone mullioned window on ground floor, 3
doors and one glazed carriage arch in west range. One stable door with 2 sunk
panels, flanked by contemporary stable windows with glazing bars, 2 1st floor
windows with glazing bars, and modern garage doors in north range. Oculus
with 4 keystones in east end. Courtyard paved with cobbles and stone setts.
